Spring Fling
An outdoor activity to celebrate spring. This event is made especially for Primary families to be closer, as well as an opportunity to contemplate and explore nature, through visits to parks.
See you at the Pole
“See you at the Pole” is a time when all around the globe, students gather at their flagpoles, praying for their school, friends, families, churches, and communities. See you at the Pole is a day committed to global unity in Christ and prayer. Students at RIS gather at 7:45 to pray.
Service Day
RIS students spend their day contributing to the local community. Practicing one of the greatest commandments that Jesus spoke about which was to “love your neighbor as yourself”. (Mark 12:31)
Family Fun Fest
Each year the RIS community comes together with the active participation of the PTA to create the Family Fun Fest. This famous event with a Circus theme mimics an American carnival with games and various artistic and musical activities. It is one of our most famous and loved events where we spend time with one another and appreciate our dynamic and diverse school community!
Christmans Program
We are very proud to celebrate this very special event, Christmas, where we showcase our students talents and celebrate the birth of Christ together.
Sand Castle Competition
One of our several flagship events, this annual competition brings families together on the beach in Barra to compete against each other while creating sand sculptures based on certain criteria. Prizes are given to winners in different categories.
Spirit Week
A week dedicated to increasing school spirit. Its impressive to see how our community comes together in creativity each day. Weeks before the students vote for themes and then dress differently each day. It is themed based also on blue and white, RIS colors. #thisisRIS

Parent & Alumni Gala
Planned in conjunction with the PTA, a formal benefit event with dinner and entertainment that promotes social interaction within our ever-growing and dynamic community of RIS parents and alumni and supports the mission of RIS.
Graduation Day
A special date where we celebrate our 12th grade students accomplishments and completion of High School. On this day we also recognize our Kindergarten students for their transition to Primary school.
Awards Ceremony
The last event of the RIS academic year and an unforgettable one, where we recognize our students for their dedication and commitment to academics.
