Students are encouraged to go deeper into their learning opportunities. Middle School subjects are composed of English, Portuguese, mathematics, history, Brazilian history, science & health, geography, Brazilian geography, bible, art, library, music, physical education and French and Digital Life.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT
RIS Middle School for ages 11 to 14-years-old has a curriculum developed to flourish and challenge its students academically while developing their Christian worldview. We support students in their freedom and increased independence ensuring that they have resilience, self-management, confidence, and communication skills to thrive academically and socially.
Cross-grade collaboration is about learning together, pooling knowledge, putting forward solutions where the experimentation is facilitated by group discussions, brainstorming, tests, frequency, participation and prototyping ideas, always finding solutions to challenges.

RIS Middle School day runs from 8:00 am to 3:35 pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
On Wednesday we run from 9:25 am to 4:25 pm.
Middle School students have the opportunity to have Study Hall on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 3:40 pm to 4:25 pm
For this stage RIS also offers several activities that are part of our After School program that are offered from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
