Kindergarten students develop their initial literacy and pre-reading skills, have interactive read aloud, and are introduced to several opportunities to support the development of comprehension and critical-thinking skills. Students learn how to express their thoughts, feelings, doubts and experiences through drawing and writing. Through integration of deeper biblical concepts students in our Kindergarten develop a greater spiritual foundation and worldview through learning of the teachings and plans of God.

This program provides a solid foundation in mathematics, literacy, arts, music, physical education, in addition, RIS Kindergarden students have enhanced English fluency.

As the year before Primary school, RIS prepares its students with a
model that is more sophisticated, in complex problem solving and
critical thinking skills. They start to seek and evaluate a range of viewpoints and desire to grow with each experience.

Our students become able to make decisions as independent lifelong learners who are not afraid to take risks. They understand and appreciate their own cultures and personal stories and become easily open to new perspectives.

The RIS Kindergarten day runs from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. On Wednesday we run from 9:20 am to 3:30 pm.

For this stage RIS also offers several activities that are part of our after school and extended hours program. After school from 3:30 pm to 4:30pm and extended hours from 3:30 pm to 5:30pm.
