RIS High School for ages 14 to 18-years-old provides a curriculum that meets American and Brazilian government educational requirements and is the perfect choice for students who want to acquire a demanding and diverse curriculum in an international environment.

High School subjects are composed of english, language arts, eld- english learning development, portuguese, french, bible, mathematics, physical science, chemistry, physics, biology,american literature, british literature, world history, united states history, brazilian, history, comparative government, economics & personal finance, journalism, geography, social studies, brazilian geography, digital life, sociology, philosophy, intermidiate arts, advanced arts, intermidiate music, advanced music, physical education, college & careeer, career orientation, career pathway.

The RIS Advanced Placement Program offers its High School students the option of acquiring the challenging AP International Diploma, which is a highly respected diploma, in addition to their regular American and Brazilian diplomas, by completing a two-year advanced program during 11th and 12th grades, which is granted upon acquiring the minimum score on the AP tests in May.

Our students end their academic career at RIS with a compound of moral, Christian preparation, academic excellence and Intenational and Brazilian diplomas. As a result, they are prepared to take the initial step towards successful careers, to be respectable human beings, with open doors to the best universities in the world.

RIS High School day runs from 8:00 am to 3:40 pm, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. On Wednesday we run from 9:20 am to 3:40 pm.

High School students have the opportunity to attend office hours, from 3:45 pm to 4:30 pm.

For this stage RIS also offers several activities as part of our after school and extended hours program. After school from 3:30 pm to 4:30pm and extended hours from 3:30 pm to 5:30pm.
